Travel is an essential part of Scholasticus’ program. Several traveling opportunities will be provided, all included in the study abroad package:
- Educational excursions: some courses may require attendance to field-trips in nearby cities/provinces.
- Leisure Travel: each term includes a two-week trip to selected destinations in Ecuador´s highlands, coastal and Amazon regions, which takes place before or after the start of classes. There will also be arranged weekend trips to Guayaquil’s nearby beaches such as Playas, Salinas, Montañita, Puerto López.
- Common destinations of the end-of-term trip include: Quito, Baños, Cuenca, Ambato, Ibarra and Otavalo.
- Trips to the Galapagos Islands are not included in the package. However, they can be arranged at your request and expense.
